Got your attention, didn’t I?
My husband would tell you that I am a hoarder. I have argued in the past that I am not a hoarder. I have hoarding potential.
Reality tells me otherwise. I have hundreds of recipes . . . some I’ve never used. I have thousands of crochet patterns. There is more yarn than currently needed at my house, although this isn’t out of hand yet. Tucked away here and there in The Barn you will find ideas, pieces of partially finished projects and accessories to hobbies I don’t practice. You see, I like to collect these things. But, getting my short attention span to last long enough to actually DO things is way harder than collecting inspiration and doodads.
WIP Wednesday seems to be a common crafter/artist denominator. Not only would this help me share what I’m doing but will force me to be accountable.
Along with River’s third blanket, I have started a new project. Miranda (Chicken Little) is the granddaughter of a friend. She LOVES chickens. The real kind.
In an effort to encourage her to sleep in her own room, my friend asked if I could crochet a chicken for her. After having my dear friend look at chicken amigurumi, she picked one out . . . in a foreign language. And, after translated, I still couldn’t figure out how to order the pattern. Plus, I HATE to pay for patterns.
The inspiration fairy came and with some other photos and the basic idea of the shape of the chicken, I grabbed some yarn that I already have and have started the Little Chicken. My goal is to complete it within 3 WIP Wednesdays. We’ll see how this goes. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
So, currently the WIPS are:
River’s Blanket – To be completed by the next WIP Wednesday
Little Chicken – To be completed 2 WIP Wednesdays from now
Puppy Pillows – No set date yet
Mermaid Tail – Possibly by Christmas?
Cat Basket for Dinky The Fierce – To be completed by the 4th WIP Wednesday from today
